Our Building and carpentry services in Sittingbourne
TM Shoveller is a family-run double glazing business based in Sittingbourne. We supply and fit windows, doors, conservatories, Equinox roofs and fascias, soffits and guttering for homes across Kent.
Every job is fitted by our own experienced team rather than subcontractors, and backed by a 10 year insurance-backed guarantee. Tell us what you have in mind and we will give you a clear, free quote.
Windows
We supply and fit uPVC and aluminium windows in the style that suits your home, from period cottages to new builds. Casement windows are the most popular choice: they open wide for good airflow, seal tightly for energy efficiency and suit almost any room.
Tilt and turn windows tilt in for secure background ventilation or open fully inward, which makes them easy to clean and a popular choice upstairs. Flush sash gives a timber-look finish without the upkeep, and sash windows keep the character of a Georgian or Victorian home with modern double glazing.
We also fit bay and bow windows to add light and space, and French casements that open wide onto a garden or balcony. All our windows carry A-rated glass as standard, and every one is fitted by our own team.

Doors
A good front door makes a difference to how a home looks, feels and keeps you secure. Composite doors are our most popular: an insulating foam core, a tough fibreglass skin and a timber-effect frame give strength, security and a wide choice of colours and glass designs.
If budget matters, uPVC doors are low maintenance, never need painting and, with modern multi-point locks, meet current UK security standards.
For the back of the house we fit French doors, bi-fold doors that fold away to open up a whole wall onto the garden, patio and sliding doors, and stable doors for cottage-style homes. Replacing a door with one of a similar size is usually permitted development, and we can guide you if your home is listed or in a conservation area.
- Composite and uPVC front doors
- French, bi-fold, patio and stable doors
- Multi-point locking
- Low maintenance
Conservatories
A conservatory adds bright, flexible living space for dining, relaxing or working. We design each one to suit your property, your garden and your budget, and manage the job from the first plan to the final finish.
Styles include Victorian with its rounded bay front, Edwardian with a simple square footprint that makes the most of the floor space, lean-to for lower eaves and smaller gardens, and gable-fronted for a taller, more striking look. We also build brick-based orangeries and fully insulated garden rooms that you can use all year.
Roofs can be glass or a lightweight tiled system. We will advise on planning permission and building regulations at no extra cost.
- Victorian, Edwardian, lean-to and gable-fronted

Equinox Roofs
An Equinox roof replaces a glass or polycarbonate conservatory roof with a fully insulated, tiled roof system. The room stops overheating in summer, stays warmer in winter and becomes usable every day of the year.
The system is designed to fit onto an existing conservatory, so there is no need to rebuild from scratch, and roof lights can be fitted where you want them. It also suits a new conservatory.
Installation is quick because it adds onto your existing frame, and your roof is watertight the same day. Because it is a solid, insulated structure, an Equinox roof needs building control sign-off, which we handle as part of the job.
- Fits onto existing conservatories
- Fully insulated
- Roof lights available
- Quick, clean installation
Fascias & Soffits
Your roofline is the finishing touch on your home and it protects it too. Fascias cap the ends of the roof rafters and hold the guttering in place. Soffits sit under the roof overhang to seal and ventilate the roof space and keep birds and pests out.
Guttering carries rainwater away from your walls and foundations, and cladding gives walls or gable ends a weatherproof, low-maintenance finish.
We do not employ salesmen or surveyors, which helps keep our prices competitive. Quotes are free as standard, so you know the cost before any work goes ahead.
- Fascias and soffits
